One of the main reasons to visit Swedish Lapland it to experience the unique and special way of life of the indigenous Sami. An interesting and intriguing story as tradition competes with modern life inside the Arctic Circle.
Reindeer Lodge offers warm and cosy cabins on the banks of the Torne River directly under the Northern Lights Corridor. Sleep in thick sleeping bags in a private cabin next to the famous reindeers of Swedish Lapland. You are away from artificial light so you don't need to go anywhere to have a chance of seeing these magical colours. Simply look to the sky.
Your meals are made from traditional local ingredients including moose, reindeer & arctic char (vegetarian options available). They are served in one of the small timber cabins with candle light atmosphere. During the evening take a relaxing bath in the steaming wood-heated sauna, with a refreshing jump in the powder snow as a finale. This is wellness and balsam for the soul.
At Reindeer Lodge you will be catered for on a half board basis including evening meal and breakfast. There is electricity in the cabins along with a wood fired stove and electric heater. You will find the WC sauna and shower in separate facilities.
You will be collected from Kiruna or ICEHOTEL at approx 1630 for the transfer to Reindeer Lodge. Your transfer from Reindeer Lodge is at approx 11am. You have the option of adding Voujan or Raidu as activities to your stay at Reindeer Lodge (please see the available excursions).
Snowshoes and cross country skis are free to use during your stay. Some cash is useful if you wish to purchase alcoholic drinks during your meal.
