Husky Expedition

(Min 4 people. Available January to April)

Day 1
After arrival in Luleå you will be transferred to your hotel for a delicious meal and full briefing with your guides.

Day 2 to 7
After breakfast you will meet your huskies who will be your engine for the journey ahead. You will be given full instructions about how to handle, harness and drive your team of 3 or 4 dogs. As the expedition progresses you will get to know the individual personality of each dog.
As you head from the frozen lakes into the mountains you witness the change in terrain. Upon arrival at the camp you take care of the dogs before settling down to a good evening meal in log cabins.
Once the dogs have been fed the cabin needs to be cleaned and more wood chopped for the next guests. The deep ravines and birch forests are excellent grounds for the shy lynx. If you are lucky you may see some tracks from this graceful cat.
Travelling high into the mountains with no protection from the forests, the view becomes more and more impressive. From this distance you may catch the rare sight of a moose grazing on the willow trees.
Turning towards civilisation and the green forests you head for the kennels for an emotional goodbye with your reliable friends. Returning to the hotel for a sauna and evening meal.

Day 8
After breakfast you head for the airport for a flight to Stockholm or the UK.
