Day 1 to 3
Amuse the children in the child friendly city of Gothenburg where a visit to Liseberg Amusement Park is essential for any family. Pay a visit to Universeum if your children are a little older. Take this opportunity to get on the water and see the city on a Paddan tour. Gothenburg's archipelago is a source of never ending fun as the sea provides the platform for this vast playground.

Option 1

Day 3 to 5 (approx 75 miles)
Hestravikens Wärdshus is just 20 mins from  High Chaparral, Sweden's Wild West, where stuntmen perform dangerous tricks and chase bandits! There is a full entertainment programme including 5 shows, steam trains, gold washing, riding and stagecoaches. All you have to decide is whether to be Billy the Kid or Jessie James!

Option 2

Day 3 to 5 (approx 169 miles)
Visit the picturesque village of Vimmerby and the home of Astrid Lindgren, the creator of Pippi Longstocking, the strongest girl in the world, and many other characters. Her books have been read by children across the globe. Performances, activities and attractions will keep you all entertained alongside the little villages that make up Astrid Lindgren's World. Fredensborgs Herrgård has a lake where you can row, swim, fish and enjoy a BBQ on the beach. Includes entrance to Astrid Lindgren's World 

Option 3

Day 3 to 5 (approx 198 miles)
Europe's longest aerial cable way and an excellent safari park are all located at Kolmården. Native Swedish animals, such as elk and reindeer feature alongside more exotic creatures including giraffes, lions, monkeys, tigers and zebras. Home to Scandinavia's only captive dolphins, you are invited to see the dolphins and their trainers in a world class display! Your accommodation is in Sweden's most child friendly hotel, Vildmarkshotellet.

Day 5 to 8 
Arrival in the amazing city of Stockholm and stay at the family friendly Nordic Sea Hotel ****. Situated next to Central Station you can leave the hire car at the office next to the hotel. Spend the day exploring some of the 24,000 islands that make up the Stockholm Archipelago or visit Skansen which prides itself as the first open air museum in the world with zoo, park and gardens. Gröna Lund and Junibacken simply add to the endless activities in this playground on water!
