Spectacular Winter Gourmet Experience

Lapland specialities served in traditional methods, but travelling in a very modern way, by snowmobile. The journey through the winter lands will take you on a gastronomic adventure. Locally caught wild animals, traditional Sami food and finally a meal served on a plate made of ice, as the final destination is the Ice Hotel.
Day 1 (approx 50 miles)
Arrival at Kiruna airport you will be met by your guides and served a traditional outdoor lunch at Guossagoathi, the welcoming log cabin. Following issue of warm overalls, boots, socks, hat, helmet and gloves, you will be given a security and safety briefing on how to handle your snowmobile. Driving into the mountain area your evening meal will be served by Sami hosts, using their best preparation traditions. Overnight is in comfortable cabins.
Day 2 (approx 100 miles)
Travelling down from the mountains and through the Kaitum nature reserve, lunch is served on an open fire cooked by your guide and wilderness chef. The evening meal shows you all the food locally available, from native fish, game and wild animals. Log cabins provide you with overnight accommodation.
Day 3 (approx 75 miles)
Today you turn for the Jukkasjärvi and the Ice Hotel. Wilderness lunch is served in the snow covered forests. Hot tubs and a sauna are waiting for you when you reach the Ice Hotel. Dinner is served on ice plates to give you yet another taste experience. You can either stay in the Ice Hotel, or if you prefer, there is warm accommodation available.
Day 4
After breakfast catch your flight either to Stockholm or the UK.
