Itinerary
29 to 31Dec - Treehotel (Lapland)

Fly from the UK to Luleå. Arrive in Luleå at 7pm where you will be met by a representative from Treehotel for a guided 1hr transfer from the airport to Treehotel. The journey to Treehotel takes you along the Luleå River valley, which is the base for some of the available activities at Treehotel. Arrival at Treehotel and enjoy some delicious home cooking.

Treehotel has taken the lead by using innovative building techniques to secure the cabins in the trees. By using securing brackets and by closely monitoring the growth rate of the trees, Treehotel has successfully built a hotel in the tree tops without using nails. Luleå university has also been closely involved as international companies and organisations look to use and adapt this innovative process. Breakfast is served at Britta's pensionat (part of Treehotel) and with a full range of winter activities to choose from, including cultural experiences and husky excursions you will find plenty to keep you occupied.

31Dec - 2Jan - ICE HOTEL (Lapland)

Enjoy a breakfast buffet and transfer by comfortable coach to ICEHOTEL. The transfer takes approx. 4hr30 and takes you through the magical snow covered forests of Swedish Lapland. Moose and reindeer are regularly seen by the road side so keep your eyes open!

Lunch time arrival at ICE HOTEL. New Years Eve is in an ARTsuite, spacious rooms of ice and snow elaborately decorated with ICEart and ICEsculptures. Your bed is warm as the thick cosy mattress is lined with a reindeer ski and your sleeping bag has been specifically designed for ICE HOTEL.

You will be woken with a hot cup of lingon berry juice at your bedside. Enjoy a morning sauna and a relaxing breakfast before indulging in some activities at ICE HOTEL.

Your second night at ICEHOTEL is in comfortable hotel accommodation in a typically Scandinavian style.
