Snowshoes in the Wilderness
** SIMPLY SWEDEN RECOMMENDATION **
Guided snowshoe excursion through the forests of Lapland. One of the best ways to gain intimate knowledge of our fragile environment. It's also great fun and surprisingly easy! You will be provided with thermal outer garments before departure. Whilst searching for animal tracks you will learn about the long history of these intriguing forests. You will learn some basic survival skills, such as making fire on snow. Keep your camera close by, this is a great excursion for seeing moose and reindeer. Min 2 guests. Min age 12yrs. Available Dec to Apr.

Northern Lights Ice Dining
** SIMPLY SWEDEN RECOMMENDATION **
An exciting candle lit evening in the wilderness with a lovely 3 course evening meal incl. a glass of wine and with any luck a fine display of colourful Northern Lights. Short transfer from Treehotel into the forest and onto a frozen lake with thick ice. Sit on cosy warm reindeer skins enjoying meal under the starry night sky. Min 2 guests, max 5. 3hrs. Dec to Mar.

Ice Fishing on Luleå River
3hr ice fishing excursion, departure at 10am. If you do catch anything you will have the chance to prepare and cook it over an open fire. Approx. 2hrs is spent ice fishing and then you light and warm up around a crackling log fire, grilling fish for lunch. Available 1Jan to 31Mar on Saturdays and Sundays. Min age 7yrs.

Photography Workshop
A professional workshop with Fredrik Broman, an experienced nature and landscape photographer. Winter & low light photography in the cold takes another way of thinking, especially
about exposure. The bright snow in daytime as well as the extreme lowlight situations in the evenings is a challenge for everyone. Toghether with the Fredrik Broman you will get a chance to test and develop new photography skills. Photographing animals such as moose, reindeer & huskies is another challenging learning situation. Includes lunch & outdoor warm clothing. You will need to bring an SLR camera, tripod, extra batteries and thin gloves. This can be tailored for amateur and experienced photographers. Min 4 people.

Husky Tours (start and finish at Treehotel)
Drive your own husky team
A wonder 6hr tour with a friendly team of four legged friends including lunch. You will learn the simple commands required to drive your own team of eager huskies through the forests of Swedish Lapland, an an area reknowned for reindeer and moose. Min age 12yrs. Available Jan to Mar. Approx 6hrs.

2hr Northern Lights or day time Husky Sled
A 2hr husky excursion through the glittering Boreal Forest. Sit back, relax and enjoy the view as you glide elegantly over pure white snow. The only sound is the reassuring crunching of snow as the sled runners grip the snow underneath. With luck the Northern Lights will shine over head. You will be provided with hat, gloves and thermal suit for this tour. Available Jan to Mar. Available as a morning tour or as an evening Northern Lights excursion.

Build your own igloo
9hrs. Let's go back to basics. Let's build one of the most environmentally friendly homes ever! Build a real igloo out of snow blocks using traditional Sami techniques. It is an art and is quite difficult to master but with instructions from the experts you will succeed! Transfer to Jokkmokk (approx 1hr) and a short ski tour on traditional wooden skis onto the frozen lake. Igloo building is a team activity, ideally 4 people. It's hard work but very satisfying. Lunch is served and regular breaks are taken round the camp fire, making it feel just like home. Min 4 guests. Min age 12yrs. 15Dec to 31Mar (not on Mondays).

Sami Culture
A unique opportunity to take a deeper look into the traditional culture of the Sami. Learn about the importantance of reindeer herding with your Sami hosts, the Eriksson Family. Once you have been you will want to dig deeper and deeper into their fascinating lives. Includes a short snowmobile transfer to Gorgim Lake for a traditional Sami lunch in a tee-pee around a camp fire. Transfer time is approx. 1hr30 from Treehotel. Min 2 guests. Approx 6hrs.

A 2hr30 snowmobile into the Boreal forest with an experienced guide. Some wonderful view points across the Luleå River Valley, or perhaps you'll spot some moose or reindeer. Dec - Mar.

A cosy 1hr meeting with Father Christmas in Swedish Lapland. Sit around a camp fire and hear about the life and traditions of Father Christmas. Includes a simple gift for all children!

All times include any applicable transfers and are approximate. Please ask for children's prices - generally 50% of adult price. You must let us know of any dietary requirements at the time of booking. All dates are approximate and subject to condition. If a tour doesn't go ahead due to weather conditions you will receive a full refund.
