Itinerary - Recommended January to April

Days 1 to 2 - Treehotel

Fly from the UK to Luleå. Arrive in Luleå where you will be met by a representative from Treehotel. Approx. 1hr guided transfer from the airport to Treehotel. The journey to Treehotel takes you along the Luleå River valley, which is the base for some of the available activities at Treehotel.
Treehotel has taken the lead by using innovative building techniques to secure the cabins in the trees. By using securing brackets and by closely monitoring the growth rate of the trees, Treehotel has successfully built a hotel in the tree tops without using nails. Luleå university has also been closely involved as international companies and organisations look to use and adapt this innovative process. Breakfast is served at Britta's pensionat (part of Treehotel) and with a full range of winter activities to choose from, including cultural experiences and husky excursions you will find plenty to keep you occupied.

Days 2 to 4 - Luleå

Transfer to Stadshotellet in the centre of Luleå and the start point of many of the available winter activities. Luleå is the largest city in Swedish Lapland and home to a beautiful arctic archipelago of 900 islands. Luleå is becoming one of the most popular winter destinations in Lapland especially between January and April when the sea is covered in a thick layer of ice and the beautiful scenery is complemented by warm sunlight. Special activities in Luleå include a hovercraft tour, driving on ice and why not try the arctic survival suits on the ice breaker?

Day 4
Breakfast & transfers in time for your flight back to the UK.
