Together with our partners in Swedish Lapland we have designed an activity holiday designed to give you a taste of what Swedish Lapland has to offer. Activities, cuisine & culture play an important part of any holiday to Lapland and this is no different.

We recommend a visit to the Aurora Safari Camp in Sörbyn during your stay. Your host at the Aurora Safari Camp is Fredrik Broman, a professional night time photographer. The Aurora Safari Camp has been inspired by Fredrik's time in Africa and the indigenous Sami of Lapland.

Flights to Luleå Airport via Stockholm (option to add additional nights in Stockholm). Meet and greet transfer to Sörbyn.

Days 1 to 3

Sörbyn Lodge - Lapland

There are 3 reasons to come to Sörbyn Lodge. The first is this is the home town of some of the most respected wilderness guides in Swedish Lapland. The second is Sörbyn serves outstanding food, attracting locals from miles around. The restaurant draws inspiration from Lapland and uses local ingredients including fish, moose, reindeer and the famous cloud berry. You will find a comfortable and cosy hotel room or cabin with a homely feel in front of the open fire in the lounge.

The third reason is the Northern Lights! This is the area of Swedish Lapland where Simply Sweden saw the best multi-coloured Northern Lights show of 2013!

You will be accommodated in comfortable hotel rooms on a full board basis. Soak up the silence and nature of Swedish Lapland. Absorb the culture and take part in some activities with some of the most respected guides in Lapland.

Day 3
Transfer from Sörbyn to the train station for your scenic train journey through magical snow covered forests and up the mountain to Björkliden.

Days 3 to 5

Björkliden / Abisko - deep in the mountains

Welcome to the stunning scenery of the Swedish Mountains and what is recognised as one of the best places on earth to see the Northern Lights. Björkliden is located on the edge of the Abikso National Park and has its own train station.

You will be accommodated at Hotel Fjället on a half board basis (2 course evening meal) in a newly refurbished spacious and comfortable room. You don't have to go far to see the northern lights, the hotel is an excellent location!

Take some time to admire the mountain scenery or enjoy some of the excursions available to you. Suggested activities during your stay.

Day 5
Relaxing breakfast and transfer to the airport or continue your holiday with Simply Sweden.
