Holidays to Gotland
Gotland is Sweden's largest island with 500 miles of stunning Baltic Coastline. It is located 120 miles south east of Stockholm and is easily accessible by plane or ferry from the main land. Gotland is a popular summer coastal location but is worth a visit at any time of year with activities, attractions and impressive natural spectacles.
An endless array of attractions make Gotland the perfect holiday destination. 1 national park and over 100 nature reserves create an intense experience of the true beauty of nature as dramatic cliffs, rare birds, bogs and marshes are protected for future generations. UNESCO has recognised the capital of Gotland, Visby, as a world heritage site. Visby was an important viking centre between the 12th & 14th century and is the best-preserved fortified commercial city in northern Europe.
Sandy beaches, boat tours, cycle rental / tours, historic guided tours, fossil safaris, glass blowing, horse adventures, underground caves, fascinating rock stacks, steam trains, canoeing / kayaking and sea fishing are just some of the entertaining features of Gotland.
