Treehotel Information

Treehotel Inspiration
Treehotel has been inspired by the documentary film, Trädälskaren (The Treelover) by Johan Selberg Augustsen. A story of 3 men from a big city environment who make a philosophical film about what the tree means to humans, historically and culturally. The tree house they build is in Harads, the same village as Treehotel, and it is possible to stay in their tree house upon request.

Treehotel rooms
Each room has been designed by a leading Swedish architect. All the rooms at Treehotel have electrical under floor heating. The electricity is from environmentally friendly sources, for example hydroelectric. You won't find any TV's at Treehotel, that defeats the whole object of the visit! Treehotel is all about the nature, silence and beauty of Swedish forests.

Why visit now?
Treehotel has been around since 2010 when the first rooms opened. Since then The Blue Cone, the UFO and Dragon fly have been added to this collection. Be part of the future and make a difference.

Alternative accommodation
Britta's Pensionat (Guest House) is part of Treehotel. Britta's Guest House is a listed building dating from the 1930's. This is a genuine Swedish building, with traditional fur-niture and ornaments. A warm welcome with a very Swedish feel, in a very Swedish country location! The rooms are simple yet comfortable. All the rooms are twin rooms with shared bathroom facilities. There is one larger family room. There is a small bar, restaurant, sauna and relax area. If you wish to extend your stay at Treehotel we recom-mend you stay at Britta's Guest House. Please ask for more information.

Eating & Drinking
All meals are served at Britta's guest house. You will have plenty of drinking water in your room at Treehotel along with facilities to make tea or coffee.

All rooms are fitted with state of the art eco-friendly incineration toilets. There are also water-efficiency basins that avoids the need for artificial plumbing to be piped deep into the forest. Showers are of course available at Britta's Guest House and at the Tree Sauna. The Dragon Fly has now been fitted with a shower.
