The construction of the Öresund Bridge has brought prosperity and diversity to Malmö and the Skåne region. As you cross the bridge towards Malmö you have an amazing view of Malmö and the Turning Torso, Sweden's tallest building. Many good shops, bars and restaurants line the pedestrianised areas and Simply Sweden recommends a visit to Lilla Torget and Saluhallen. Hotels in Skåne
Welcome to Skåne and welcome to the Swedish countryside. At Ängavallen you will stay in a comfortable hotel on an organic farm, close to the coast and the city. Ecology and gastronomy go hand in hand here. At Ängavallen the animals are treated with the greatest respect. The fact is that the way in which they are reared is unique throughout the world! As human beings we can also enjoy the beautiful countryside, but at the same time we are able to capture the aroma of the herb garden's produce to be used in the restaurant along with raw materials from the farm. You can buy your favourite foods in the farm shop to take home with you. [map]

Karlaby Kro is located in the south east corner of the Skåne peninsular in the heart Tommarp, a picturesque village just 5km from the coastal town of Simrishamn. Häckeberga Slott (Castle) dates in part back to the 14th century and sits on an idlyllic island in Lake Häckeberga, surrounded by Häckeberga nature reserve. The castle, which has been owned by the Tham family since 1824, was praised in the writings of world-famous Swedish botanist and traveller, Linnaeus. The present building, built in 1875, and its grounds offer a myriad of opportunities for enjoyment, cultural and outdoor. The restaurant attracts guests from miles around and the chefs are award winning! When staying here we recommend you ask for an upgrade to the main building. [map]

Karlskrona is on the UNESCO World Heritage list as an outstanding example of a 17th Century planned naval city.
