Orsa - Winter Log Cabin Holidays

One of Sweden's most southerly & accessible winter attractions in a world class cross country ski environment just 4hr30 from Stockholm in the picturesque county of Dalarna. The area surrounding Orsa Grönklitt is home to the worlds largest Cross Country Ski Race (Vasaloppet), which takes place every February. It is also home to one of the best ice hockey teams in Sweden, Mora, and the worlds largest polar bear park which opened in May 2009.
Whether you are looking for the excitement of downhill skiing or a relaxing and romantic horse & sleigh ride, Orsa has it all. Other local activities include husky & snowmobile tours, ice skating on frozen lakes, ice fishing & hot tubs.

The log cabins at Orsa Grönklitt are of a high standard and range from cosy 4 bed log cabins, perfect for a romantic break, to larger more spacious log cabins with 16 beds. Most come with a crackling open fire to keep you warm after a day skiing, walking, ice skating or relaxing in this beautiful environment. There are hot tubs and several restaurants on site. There is also an excellent restaurant at the nearby Fryksås Hotel, which is within walking distance.

22 downhill ski runs of all grades, snowmobiles, huskies and plenty of other winter activities make this an excellent location for young families and novice to moderate skiers to enjoy a relaxing and affordable winter holiday in Sweden. These log cabins can be rented from Sunday to Sunday, Sunday to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday.
