Visiting Northern Norway is like standing on the edge of the world. The next stop is the North Pole and the Arctic Ice.  This is a destination featuring remote villages, deep fjords, steep mountains, northern lights and the midnight sun.

Remote communities are connected to the rest of Norway by the Hurtigruten Coastal Steamer or small planes operating a frequent shuttle service.  Each are contracted by the Norwegian government to provide an essential lines of communication; perfect for the locals and travellers seeking out remote and genuine locations in a magical part of our world.

Locations of note are the Lofoten Islands, the Svalbard archipelago, the Arctic city of Tromsø and the Kirkenes region at the border with Russia.
