ICEHOTEL Honeymoons

You have spent months preparing for your perfect wedding day. You have been surrounded by friends and family all eager to spend a magical moment with the special couple. Now is the time to spend some quality time together in the company of the Northern Lights, friendly husky dogs, isolated log cabins, glittering forests, frozen lakes and pure silence.

Lapland is widely regarded as Europe's last wilderness and here at Simply Sweden we have designed a romantic honeymoon holiday to bring you the very best of Stockholm and Lapland. This is your honeymoon and you can tailor make your holiday to Lapland and ICEHOTEL under the expert guidance of your travel consultant.

Practical information about your stay at ICEHOTEL

Honeymoon Itinerary
Day 1 to 3 - Stockholm
Depart from the UK for Stockholm. Spend 2 nights at a first class designer hotel in the heart of Stockholm. You will be accommodated at the Nordic Light Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis in the comfort of a double 'mood' room, with state of the art 'mood' lighting. You will be free to explore Stockholm with the 48hr Stockholm Card, which includes travel on all locally operated busses and underground trains. It also includes entrance to all of Stockholm's major attractions.

Day 3 - ICE HOTEL (ARTsuite)
Fly from Stockholm to Kiruna, the gateway to Swedish Lapland. You will be welcomed at Kiruna airport by your own team of eager huskies. After a warming drink in the Sami style tent you will be issued with warm outer clothing which you will be able to use for the duration of your stay at ICE HOTEL. Sit back, relax and listen to the silence of Lapland as you glide silently over frozen lakes and through snow covered forests as you arrive at ICEHOTEL in style. During the evening your will enjoy a mouth watering 7 course meal served on plates of ICE at ICE HOTEL restaurant. You will be accommodated in an ARTsuite at ICEHOTEL. These are spacious rooms elaboralty decorated with stunning works of ICEart and ICEsculptures. Upgrade to the Deluxe Suite from £65pp.

Day 4 - Overnight Snowmobile & Wilderness Log Cabin
Following breakfast you will take a step back in time and experience the traditional (and modern) way of life of the indigenous Sami. In the company of these welcoming people you will experience a short reindeer ride and enjoy a traditional Sami lunch. Following your return you will be collected from ICE HOTEL and taken the short distance (10mins) to the snowmobile garage. You can either share a snowmobile or drive your own, but you will need a driving licence. Your guide will lead the way as you explore the Torne River Valley covered in a blanket of snow. You may catch sight of shy moose or reindeer in the distance. You will be accommodated at a traditional wilderness cabin on the shores of the Torne River. As you relax in the sauna your guide will prepare your evening meal and then leave you both to enjoy a romantic evening alone in the peace and quite of Swedish Lapland. Gaze towards the skies and you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dance in ribbons of light across the night sky. Upgrade to individual snowmobiles from £54pp.

Day 5 - ICE HOTEL (Warm accommodation)
Your guide will return in the morning and once again you will hop on board your snowmobiles. Some more time exploring this amazing area before returning to ICE HOTEL before lunch. Check in to your warm accommodation at ICE HOTEL and some time to visit the ICE HOTEL shop and the famous wooden church in Jukkasjärvi. During the evening you will head to the Esrange Space Station for a guided tour and a short lecture about the science and myths surrounding the Northern Lights. A 3 course evening meal will be served at a Wilderness Camp where you will be able to view the night sky through binoculars and the thousands of stars simply not visible from the UK. Again, perhaps you will be dazzled by the Northern Lights!

Day 6
Breakfast and checkout of ICE HOTEL. Transfer to Kiruna airport for your afternoon flight back to the UK.

There will be 30 unique ARTsuites elaborately decorated with ICEart and ICEsculptures. 15 will be created by ICEHOTELs own team of artists. The remaining 15 will be designed by carefully selected renowned artists from across the globe. These are spacious rooms for that special occasion.
ICEHOTEL ICErooms
14 unique ICErooms will line the corridors of ICEHOTEL. Each room will be decorated with hand crafted ICEart and feature ICEfurniture.
ICEHOTEL SNOWrooms
Decorated with ICEart you will sleep in a thermal sleeping bag on a special bed built of snow and ice lined with a thick mattress and reindeer skin in one of the 24 SNOWrooms.
Group rooms
So more of you can enjoy the unique experience of staying at ICEHOTEL some of the ARTsuites, ICErooms and SNOWrooms will have space for up to 4 people.
