The new Simply Sweden website is coming soon! Keep your eyes peeled.
A 3 night cruise between Tromso, the arctic capital of Northern Norway, and Kirkenes on the Russian border. Amazing scenery and great chances for the Northern Lights.
Experience the magic of Arctic Norway with this six night holiday. Explore Tromso, the capital of Northern Norway, and relax on board the Hurtigruten coastal steamer on a scenic return cruise to Kirkenes and the Russian border.
This holiday gives you the scenery, culture and history of Tromso and the northern Nowegian fjords. These ships are working ships serving remote communities in Northern Norway. They provide an essential line of communication, delivering goods and services (such as postal operations) to isolated areas. If these ships did not make their daily visits these traditional villages would cease to exist.
The best chance of seeing the northern lights is by participating in a northern lights excursion in Tromso and relaxing on deck or in the panoramic lounge on board your ship. You can even request a northern lights alarm to your cabin during your cruise.
As the Hurtigruten is a daily service throughout the year, this holiday is available for the entire Northern Lights Season. The season is recognised as October to March but it is possible to see the Northern Lights as early as August and into April. As it is 24hr daylight outside these periods the northern lights are there, you just can't see them. But you can try our midnight sun cruise!

A fleet of 11 ships cruise the beautiful Norwegian fjords taking you through breathtaking scenery and giving you the opportunity to see natural phenomena, such as the midnight sun and the Northern Lights from Bergen in the south to Kirkenes in the far north.
The journey is quite spectacular and you won't spend much time in your cabin. You must be on deck or in the panoramic lounges to witness this jaw-dropping scenery. Click on the photo to the left to see the typical cabins on board.
You are generally accommodated in an unspecified outside cabin which may have llimited views. We do recommend upgrading to a cabin with an unobstructed view.

The North Cape
Crossing the 71st parallel is something few can claim! This is the northern most point of continental Europe and the county of Finnmark. The North Cape rises more than a thousand feet from the icy waters of the Arctic Ocean. At the North Cape Hall there is a modern visitors centre showing a film about the local culture and North Cape. There is also a souvenir shop and café. Step outside and brace yourself against the winds as you stand beside the famous North Cape globe.
Price £128pp.
Snowmobile in Lapland
Following a safety briefing you follow your guide into the wilderness. Learn about life on the Finnmark coast and the indigenous Sami of the Arctic. Every participant will drive their own snowmobile and a driving licence required. Notes: For those in good physical condition. Outer warm clothing provided. From 6Dec Snow / weather dependent.
