Magical Moments in Lapland

Magical Moments in Lapland is a 4 night holiday exploring Swedish Lapland and visiting some of the most innovative hotels and locations in Europe's Last Wilderness.

Overview

Two of the most iconic, inspirational and environmentally aware hotels of our time. The sustainable credentials of Treehotel and ICEHOTEL are an important feature of your holiday in Swedish Lapland. Renewable electricity sources, locally sourced food, the use of local activity suppliers and respect for the environment within which they operate, ensures local economic stability and a minimum carbon footprint. All require consideration when building such structures in environmentally sensitive locations.

These hotels are connected by a simple rail line, the Iron Ore Railway (Malmbanan) connecting the small towns and villages of the Arctic.  They are also connected by their unique art and design, drawing globetrotting visitors from across the planet to experience winter and the northern lights in Swedish Lapland.

This is a holiday of experiences and sensations: the tastes, the smells, the warmth, the cold, the stars, the sun, the northern lights, the culture. We believe you will leave Swedish Lapland with a better understanding of how small we are individuals, and how big we are as a species.

Take this time to absorb all you can, nature is not silent or invisible. Listen to crackling wood fires and the crunch of crisp snow underfoot. Smell the fresh clean air and the smoke from the fire. Taste local delicacies such as cloudberries and reindeer. Feel the chill and warmth of this northern region. See the colourful northern lights and sparkling starry skies. Most importantly, experience the culture of Swedish Lapland.
