Day 1 - Tromso
Hotel Bryggen - Tromso
Hotel Bryggen is practically next to the airport bus in the centre of Tromso and is situated on the quay side in Tromso harbour. Relax in the rooftop jacuzzi with views across the harbour to the spectacular Arctic Cathedral. Hotel Bryggen has recently been refurbished and is one of Northern Norways leading hotels. Tromso is also the gateway to Northern Norway and the launch pad for many of our Norway northern lights holidays.
Fly from the UK to Tromso (the capital of Northern Norway) and stay in the centrally located Hotel Bryggen. The centre of Tromso is a short transfer from the airport, and your hotel is just 50m from the departure point of your Hurtigruten cruise.
Depending on your arrival there may be some time for an evening Northern Lights activity.
Day 2 - Tromso
A day at leisure or some daytime activities before your evening photography course and northern lights chase across Northern Norway.
Suggested activity
Northern Lights Photography Course - 8hrs
It doesn't matter whether you are a beginner or more experienced photographer. The groups are small so our professional photographers in Tromso are here to teach you the basics, or more advanced techniques of night time photography. All you need to bring along is an SLR camera, tripod, good shoes and thick socks! You will be provided with a light meal, hot drinks and professional guides. This activity includes a photography work shop before heading into the wilderness in search of the northern lights.

Days 3 & 4 - Tromso to Kirkenes (Fjords Cruise)
A free day to explore Tromso. Perhaps enjoy the wilderness with an excursion or activity. Approx 6.30pm departure on your 3 night half board Hurtigruten Cruise through the northern part of the Norwegian Fjords. You can specify inside or outside cabin and your cabin will be allocated on boarding the ship in Tromso.
Days 5 & 6 - Kirkenes to Tromso (Fjords Cruise)
The highlights of this cruise are of course the Northern Lights if mother nature wishes to share with us. Other items on the list include some great excursions the North Cape a snowmobile or husky tour and the Kirkenes Snow Hotel. Activities from 5A to 8F are available on your cruise.
Late evening arrival in Tromso (day 6) and just a short walk (50m) from the port to Hotel Bryggen on the quay side.
Day 7 - Tromso
Leisurely breakfast before your flight back to the UK.
