Introduction to our Cruises in the Norwegian Fjords
The Norwegian fjords are arguably the biggest tourist magnet for holidays in Norway. With dramatic natural scenery, the attraction of the midnight sun and magical northern lights Simply Sweden (with a little bit of Norway!) is proud to give you the opportunity to visit this unique location.
The Hurtigruten Coastal Voyage has been described as the world's most beautiful sea voyage and with such attractions as the Hanseatic League city of Bergen, the Geiranger fjord and the Lofoten Islands, it is easy to work out why.
Here at Simply Sweden we have personal experience of the Norwegian Fjords, the midnight sun and the northern lights so you can tap into our in depth knowledge and create the holiday of your dreams along the western and northern coast of Norway.
Points of note for any cruise you are thinking of taking. For dramatic scenery, deep fjords and exquisite views travel along the west coast between Bergen, Trondheim and Tromso. For the land of the midnight sun travel in June and July between Trondheim, Tromso and Kirkenes where you can watch the sun turn yellow as it skims above the surface of the sea at midnight. If you are dreaming of staring at the starry night sky and watching the northern lights dance in ribbons of green, blue and red above you then a cruise between September and March is for you, starting in Tromso and heading north over the top of Norway towards the Russian border to Kirkenes.
Please remember as Scandinavian Travel Specialists we tailor make many of our holidays - please ask!
