Just a quick email to let you know my family and I had a wonderful time at Storklinten over the Christmas period. The accommodation was very nice and cosy, views were stunning (for 4/5 hours a day!), the people were very helpful and welcoming and the snowmobile safari was excellent fun.

We had a fantastic time in Sweden, the place and people are so nice and helpful. We couldn't put one thing down as our best experience, it was all so brilliant. What a honeymoon. I am so glad we booked the trip through Simply Sweden. We were interviewd by the Swedish newspaper 'Expressen' while at the Tree Hotel. So we'll keep a look out for the article on their website (although without an english translation it could prove difficult). having seen the costs of the trips run by the 'Ice Hotel', we certainly got value for money booking through yourselves.

We absolutely loved the trip - every single second.
The husky sledding was SPECTACULAR, and we were so lucky to be with Tore Albrigtsen (who is rated in the Frommer Guide, along with his wife, as the most experienced husky sledder in Norway). We couldn't have been in safer hands, and he took the time to eat with us, to talk with us, and to give us so much insight into his life and experience. The sledding itself was active, sporty, complicated by some truly arctic weather, and absolutely spectacular.
I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. Thanks a million for organising it for us, really, really want to go back and do it all again!

I just wanted to thank you as we loved these holidays, all your recommendations were relevant and we had a great time there and wanted to let you know.
All went perfectly well and the weather was very good too so we were very lucky.
The highlight of the trip was the tree hotel, but we do not recommend the nest as it is quite noisy, the UFO for a family seems to be the most appropriate, Britta who runs the place with her husband is very lovely and the tree hotel is a must.
In Kiruna the best activity we did was the 'drive your own husky sleigh' the dog keeper was great, the soup he served for lunch was amazing and the dogs were fast !!!!!
Re the Icehotel, I am really glad we did not sleep there it is very cold....and there are many tourists, although once again it is a must to visit such a beautifully place....

We wanted to let you know that we had an amazing 3 days in Swedish Lapland.
Everything worked out really well. We enjoyed the snow mobiling and husky sledging tremedously, and the ice hotel was totally up to our expectations....if not more!!
The arrangements you made for us all worked out really well.....thankyou.
The only thing was that we didn't get to see was the Northern Lights....too heavy clouds. But its a good excuse to go back to that part of the world again.
Let us know when you start doing trips to Norway, and maybe next year we will go there to try and see the Northern Lights.

The three hotels were all perfect…thank you.

1) The Stranflickorna at Lysekil is quirky and they were all very friendly and the surroundings were great. They even made us a ‘special herring menu’ & served it in the garden
2) The Villa Sjotarp in Ljungskile was really fascinating and the staff again were really friendly and wow…what a view from that garden. Food was great here
3) The Elite Park Avenue was a great city Hotel and staff again were really great (even to the fact that when we were leaving the bus departure point to the airport had changed due to the procession and reception walked us to the new bus stop).
The breakfasts were great in each hotel and were splendid adverts for Sweden.
Finally Darren you asked for feedback about the two restaurants you booked.
Salt & Sill was great (I have attached a photo showing the great herring platter). A fabulous island and peaceful.
Astols Rockeri was totally fabulous. Quirky and great service…even to a personal escorted fact-finding tour of the island by Pia (the owner) and her husband. Again great food
(Both places had only the set menu as it was virtually the end of the season)
Finally what seemed to be Sweden’s best kept secret…The Gothenburg Cultural Festival was taking place and The Elite Hotel was slap bang in the middle of where it all happened.
We bbq’d on the beach…saw great sunsets and as you can probaby tell by this email we were bowled over by such a great week. Expensive but worth every penny. Many thanks for your help

We have been home from Sweden a while now but just thought I should say that all arrangements went really well. We particularly liked the style of The Columbus Hotel in Stockholm. If I was to list all the things that we liked about the country, the cities, the trip it would be a very long email!
The visit to Millesgarden was probably our favourite time, however, as apart from the weather (sweltering actually) we really enjoyed the temporary exhibition which was an unexpected bonus. So thank you.

Just wanted to thank you for all your help in organising my Gota Kanal holiday. The whole trip was an incredible experience, especially sailing through the Stockholm Archipelago on a very hot day with a sea like glass. It was really amazing. Photos just can't convey what it was really like. The Kanal itself was beautiful and the boat the Wilhelm Tham was perfect. I can't praise the whole crew highly enough and of course the food was excellent.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for making all the arrangements for the ' family surprise trip' to Lapland for my husband's birthday. It all could not have been more perfect and we even saw the Northern lights which showed up right on cue on the special day! The Aurora Retreat guest house was lovely; very comfortable with a warm welcome from Maya and Mickael and truly wonderful food.
The activities went well too. we were taken or collected each time and did not need to worry about anything. We were amazed at the Ice Hotel which we visited en route. We had a hair raising and fun morning on snowmobiles and a magical afternoon/evening out with the huskies when we sledged to a forest hut and had dinner around a fire. Everyone was so friendly and interesting.
It really was a fantastic and memorable adventure.
So on behalf of us all thanks once again for a great trip.
Julie and her family - a great family holiday in Lapland

Mar 2011
We just got back from our wonderful trip to Kiruna and Stockholm. The Ice Hotel should be on everyone's holiday list. It is a fantastic place to visit and for those who are frightened to try it. No it is not cold once you are in the sleeping bag you can actually be too hot!!! Words cannot describe the fantastic sculptures and rooms and on top of that the meals are fabulous. A walk into the village is a must and visit the church and Sami museum where one can feed the reindeer (yes people do take their kids!). My wife was very apprehensive about the cold but she is now convinced that one can dress appropriately and therefore not feel the cold as you do here in England.
The Husky Overnight ride and wilderness camp were also fantastic and the camp is the perfect place to be and watch the Northern Lights from. Skimmimg across the frozen lake on the sled we felt as if only ourselves and the people on the other sled were the only people in the world. It was so quiet and peaceful. We also saw reindeer among the trees as we went along.
I Stockholm we only had time to take in the Vasa (what a great museum display), go up the telecoms tower and do some shopping. All very wonderful and obviously we need much more time on another trip.
People everywhere were very helpful, very nice and polite.

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed Aurora - it was a wonderful adventure - Michel & Maya are wonderful hosts, all the food and activities were excellent.

Feb 2011
Thank you for arranging a wonderful holiday for us in Sweden. Even the couple of enforced changes to the itinery did not spoil the experience. Although we did not see the Northern Lights by snowmobile and it was cloudy at the Esrange space station it was still a wonderful experience and we did get a short afternoon trip on snowmobiles the following day. The ICE hotel was excellent.
The Tree hotel was also amazing and Kent, Britta, Sophia and Mia were excellent hosts. They seem to love their hotel and this caring approach comes over in their attitude to their guests. The Mirror Cube was more that we could have hoped for and the views were stunning. I would recommend their food to anyone - it was some of the best I have ever tasted. Certainly the best 'experience' hotel I have stayed at, including the ICE hotel!!

I Just thought I'd let you know we had the most Fantastic holiday in Lapland. All the activities were excellent. The Artic Eden Hotel and their staff (especially Barbro) made us so welcome and the facilities were superb. Well worth the extra expense.
I liked the Snowmobile the best, the snow sparkled like diamonds in the headlights when it was dark and the Honeymoon Wilderness cabin was very comfy. (odd, because it had a fully functioning toilet, but no water on tap). Mark enjoyed the Ice Driving the most, the Instructors let us have a go at power sliding round the skid pan at the end!
We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, apparently they weren't majorly fantastic, but they were good enough for us. The Huskies were fun and the Ice Hotel was simply amazing - and of course, we weren't cold, and actually, it wont surprise you if I tell you, Mark was too hot and had to take off his hat, gloves and socks!

I just had to drop you a note and say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all you did to make our time at the Icehotel truly amazing. From start to finish everything was flawless, and the warm accommodations so beyond what we expected. The Ice Suite was fantastic as well, but definitely one night in cold accommodations is plenty - !
Everyone we met was so helpful and kind, the restaurants unbelievably top notch and the food delicious. And the New Year’s events at the Icehotel made it the best New Year’s Eve I’ve ever had. I’m still blown away by the whole experience.
This was the best anniversary ever, and we owe much of that to you and your willingness to help us pull it together on such short notice.
Thank you just doesn’t seem adequate for all you did, but is the best I can do. You’re the best!

Thanks again, for all your help. Do you have a website for customer feedback? My experience of dealing with your firm - especially you, but also your colleagues on the rare occasions you weren't available - has been second to none. Prompt responses at all times, courteous service, super helpful and well-informed staff. An absolute pleasure to do business with, and enough to make me want to go to Sweden again, just for the ease of booking a holiday!

Jan 2011
Just wanted to send you an email, albeit very belated, to say thank you for all your help in arranging our trip to the ice hotel last month.
Everything worked out fantastically, both the travelling and the activities were problem free. The husky transport between the airport and the hotel is truly the way to arrive at the ice hotel. The nightime snowmobile excursion that you arranged just before we left was brilliant. We went out into the wilderness, just four snowmobiles, had a delicious 3 ocurse meal, main course moose stew and were lucky enough to see the northern lights!!! It is an amazing building in an amazing place.
The staff were lovely as were the ice artists and the workmen and the accomodation (both warm and cold!) was very comfortable. I slept like a log in our ice room, my husband woke up at 5am because he was too warm and went outside in -19 to cool down!!! We upgraded our warm accomodation to a chalet as it was very reasonable to do so on-site (about £20).
I know this isn't the cheapest holiday but it truly is an amazing destination and soooooo worth it.
Thank you again for all your help.
Carol had a great time at ICEHOTEL and in Lapland

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip and that we really liked the Columbus Hotel. As we normally avoid Hotels if we can we particularly appreciated it's warm and hospitable atmosphere not to mention the great breakfasts. Many thanks for recommending it!

Just to say we had a great time. We loved our cottage and the area, Sweden is a beautiful country, which for me is saying a lot I have travelled extensively throughout Europe (own an apartment in Tallinn Estonia). I have been to most of Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Sweden can beat and compete with all of them, very impressed. Everything went to plan and all due to your careful consideration of accommodation area and the planning of our journey.
Thank you so much.

We arrived back home yesterday from our Coast to Coast Holiday and I thought I must let you know what a wonderful time we had.

Just wanted to email you to say thank you for organising our 3 night break in Stockholm -it was a lovely city to visit.
The information you provided us with both verbally on the phone before booking and by email was incredibly useful and realistic. The Columbus hotel was all you said it would be - Swedish(!), friendly, clean, relaxing and the breakfasts were an impressive start to the day! The Stockholm card enabled us not only to get around easily (mainly used the hop on-off boat and the tubes) but also meant we visited many places of interest that we wouldn't have seen if we had had to pay for each individually. We were particularly fascinated by the Vasa and Nobel museums and the cathedral. The city seemed relatively quiet which was to our liking and even the transfer from the airport on the Arlanda Express was easy to do and cheaper (as you said) because of the 2 for 1 deal available at the time!
All in all, we had an excellent break and have already recommended the city and Simply Sweden to some friends and family,
Thanks again

We just want to say thank you for organising a brilliant holiday for us in Sweden
We stayed 3 nights at the Park Avenue Hotel in Gothenburg, absolutely superb really friendly staff and the breakfasts were out of this world.
We then moved on to the Koster Islands. We stayed on Syd (South) Koster again for 3 nights.
What a marvelous place, no cars or public transport, but plenty of walking and cycling tracks and lots of opportunity to chill out.
All this and sunshine most of the time (Came back home sunburned).
A well organised tailor made holiday that met all our needs.
Might try The Ice Hotel next!!!

Jul 2010
We wanted to write and say Thank You very much for organising our Sweden trip. We both had a fantastic holiday and love the country so much that we will return.
Everything went smoothly, all the hotels were good, on balance we probably liked the Columbus hotel in Stockholm the best as it felt more personal than the corporate feel of the Elite hotels and had the most comfy bed I have ever slept in. However the extra luxuries at both the Elite hotels were great. We were both impressed with the transport too, the train seats are more like sofas and actually leave on-time which is a new experience.
We also loved Sweden as a country, it feels like they do things properly, planning to get what they want and paying attention to the details. The pre-Royal wedding celebrations in Stockholm were amazing, although we were glad to not be there for the day as Stockholm looked gridlocked on the TV coverage. We also managed to fit in a day trip to Ystad where we had a tour of the studios where Wallander was filmed which made for a fabulous day.
Once again Thanks for all your help in sorting the holiday

I'd like to convey our thanks for your input in organising our trip to Sweden. Bookings for flights and hotels were all spot-on. The hotels you recommended all offered very acceptable accommodation - we especially liked Jokkmokk Hotel and loved the Columbus Hotel in Stockholm.
We had a very enjoyable (mostly sunny) trip, driving nearly 2,500 km.
Thanks again.

Jul 2010
Just to let you know that I had a fabulous time and all went according to plan. The flights were great, the hotel was comfortable and well situated (I loved the courtyard - temperatures were in the high 20s so had breakfast out there everyday), the transport around the city was so easy and the Stockholm card was well used, and the wedding was amazing - Greek/English/Swedish/Croation mix - quite a combination! I can't think of anything which could have been done better - all the information and maps were very helpful.
Sso thanks for making it so easy for me and I will definitely use your company again if I visit to Stockholm - which I would love to do.

Jun 2010
just a short note on our return from the holiday you organised for us. I must say that the arrangements were first class and that we enjoyed every minute of the trip, so thank you very much.
There were one or two points that I think you might note just in case you get a similar request. Everyone, including yourselves I think, appeared to be surprised that we were in Stockholm for a week. In the event I don't think it was too much, in fact if you want to see the Archipelago you probably need more. One of the bonuses for us, which you didn't mention, was being there over the National Day which was spectacular.
Thanks again for your help, I would recommend you to anyone wanting to visit Sweden.
