Holiday was fantastic! And went according to plan thanks to your efforts. I'm very grateful for your attention to detail. Ripan was great . They are really friendly and offered two cabins with adjoining door which worked perfectly with boys. The Husky and snowmobile excusions worked well and the boys loved them.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time at the Ice Hotel followed by an equally (possibly even better!) time on the Wilderness Snowmobiling trip. Everything better than I expected - met some great people & had a complete blast snowmobiling. My husband had a 50th birthday to remember, thank you. Looking forward to my next trip to Sweden - possibly a long week-end in Stockholm. I'll be in touch when I've decided!
Sharon booked a surprise holiday for her husband to ICE HOTEL and stayed in a wilderness cabin during an overnight snowmobile tour

Just had to let you know that John and I had a fabulous few days in Swedish Lapland. The best trip ever. It is the only time I have ever felt sorry to be British and wished I had been born in another land! Everything was so beautiful, including the people and what a wonderful way of life.
The day time horse ride was the best for me. I can recommend the experience, the night ride was fun too .The Northern Lights didn't show.
I must thanks you for suggesting just the one nights stay in the snow room !! Actually the Northern Lights chalet was beautiful and we didn't want to vacate it !!
Chris we would like to return Jan or Feb 2011. Perhaps you could make a recommendation for accommodation, perhaps Northern lights chalet again or perhaps something/somewhere else ?
We would want 3 nights and a host of activities, of course a return to the Icelandic horses would be compulsory.
Julie spent 2 nights at ICE HOTEL

I was so nervous about the husky ride but it really was the perfect finish to our honeymoon.
Thank you so much again and we hope to book through you in years to come.

Finally have had a chance to sit down and send you a long overdue “THANK YOU!” Denise & I had a truly wonderful time on our Sweden/Lapland trip. Your excellent customer service, meticulous attention to detail and superior activity providers will always be very much appreciated.
On a scale of 1 to 10, our North-of-the-Arctic-circle experience rates a well-deserved: 9 On the theory that even the best can get better, following are 2 recommendations that, if implemented, would have garnered a 10.

#1 – Northern Lights: One niggling disappointment was not seeing the Northern Lights. We understand you cannot be responsible for Mother Nature or the sun’s temperament. That being said, while we were in Kiruna, several other tourists did see the Northern Lights because their vacation planner had arranged a nighttime visit to Abisko.

We learned, after the fact, that Abisko is a mountaintop hotel located 110 km from Kiruna with a ski loft to the top of the mountain. The tour starts at 18:00 and ends about 24:00. Information about the Northern Lights and dinner/sandwich are included. If we had been booked on the Abisko tour, it is more than likely we would have seen the Northern Lights.

#2 – Igloo Building: This activity did not live up to expectations because of a verbal misunderstanding. When I think of an “igloo”, I think of a half-domed, ice structure; constructed of individual blocks. The folks who ran this activity (who were warm, friendly and delightful) showed us how to build a snow cave; not a classical igloo.

FYI: You cannot build an ice/snow cave in one session. A large mound of snow must first be created; tamped down and then left to set for 24 hours. So the snow cave we had a chance to build was a) not a true igloo and b) was not “our own, start-from-scratch” snow cave because someone else had to create the mound of snow 24 hours earlier.

In closing I say again “WE LOVED OUR TRIP!”. You exceeded our expectations. We would enthusiastically recommend you and your team to our friends, colleagues and relatives.  Bravo on a job well done.
Andrew and Denise travelled from America to Sweden. They stayed in Stockholm, at ICE HOTEL, Hotel Arctic Eden and took an overnight husky tour and an igloo (snow cave) building overnight tour

Just thought I would write and tell you what a fantastic time we had up in Lapland. The High Mountain Snowmobile tour and the Husky expedition were the highlights of the tours.
The sculpting was fun and the ice hotel a great experience.
All in all we had a wonderful and memorable time Thanks for all your help.
I loved the husky time so much and our guide was talking about longer trips - say coming from Abisko back to Kiruna for I think 7 days How much does that cost, say, in March when the days are longer??
Jon stayed at ICE HOTEL with an overnight husky safari

Thank you very much for organising our holiday to Aurora retreat.  We had a great time and the accommodation and staff were wonderful.
The way we were welcomed and looked after made our visit very special.
I must add that to have a skilled chef cooking for us and the way he so cared about the food he produced was very impressive…the man is a genius.
So often vegetarians get the short straw as far as meals go but not this time.
Have a great Christmas

Just a few lines to say that we had a fab time in Stockholm. Not only was the hotel comfortable - it was in itself a very interesting piece of architecture. No hitches at all.  The weather was great although the Swedes said that we were lucky not to have had more rain.  It was raining when we arrived but after that it was sunny all the time - and of course all those hours of daylight!
We made full use of the card - brilliant idea.  Very impressed with the Vasa Museum but managed also to seek out Färgfabriken, an avant-garde contemporary art gallery which is tucked away in an industrial area. Uncertain of how to reach it, we took a number of buses and also trudged through alleyways and fenced in areas.  It certainly lacked the ostentatious signs that led us to the Vasa but it meant to say that we got a learn a bit more about the city than just the tourist angle. Anyway - very positive feedback on our experience.
Anne-Marie flew from Leeds to Stockholm via Amsterdam and stayed at Villa Källhagan in Stockholm.

Just to let you know I enjoyed my first visit to southern Sweden very much indeed.  I did have a couple of minor problems but resolved them easily by talking to helpful people.  Thank you very much for arranging the trip for me.
Marjorie enjoyed a shortened version of our South Sweden Tour, staying in Skåne and Karlskrona

Jun 2009
I had an excellent week in Sweden ; all the travel arrangements went smoothly and I particularly liked the stay on the Barken Viking. The location was brilliant and the ship itself had been refurbished last year so everything was in tiptop condition. Although the weather was not so good in Stockholm there is so much of interest to see there that the 2 wet days were fully occupied. The Columbus proved a bit difficult to find but once that problem had been solved I liked it ; the building has an interesting history and the free coffee/tea between 5 and 7pm was greatly appreciated after a busy day's sightseeing. Many thanks for all your help.
Sarah stayed in Gothenburg before catching the train to Stockholm

Apr 2009
I thought I'd just drop you a quick note to say thank you for sorting such a fabulous trip for us. We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather conditions while we were out with the huskies and although we didn`t see the northern lights, it was a truly fantastic few days.

We had an absolutely fab time and I recommend anyone getting married to do it there.  Just a totally wonderful experience.  Thank you so much for all your help.  Everyone told me it couldn't be done in such a short time and you helped me prove them wrong in style.  We had a party here last Friday so everyone could see our photos and I must say i have never seen people fighting to see photos before.  People can't get their head around the idea it really is all made of ice.  Thanks again.
Corina and her new husband had their wedding at ICEHOTEL

Feb 2009

May I say many many thanks for organising the week-end for us. It was a truly amazing experience that my daughter and I will remember for years to come. The journey was without any hitches we found the hotel in Stockholm without any problem and the activities that you arranged for us all added up to having a relaxing but "busy" time. On the down side we did not get to see the Northern lights so we may have to try again but only bring our husbands next time! Once again many thanks for all your help and advice.
Janis stayed at ICEHOTEL and in the Nordic Light Hotel in Stockholm

Just to let you know that the holiday we booked thru you went very well. Everything went to plan - top marks to SAS and all the others involoved. Flights - all on time. Quality Hotel Arlanda - just right. Old Homestead - good. Ice Hotel - lived up to expecations and 1 night was just right. But what really made our break so enjoyable  was the dogsledding and overnight in the cabin in the forest. Special thanks go to [the guide] who met us at the airport and looked after us for the  next 24 hours. We  were the only 2 guests with [the guide] and we had a  team of dogs each. [The guide] was great company and very patient with us!
Please pass on our thanks if at all possible.

This is just a note to say that we are now back home after our trip to Sweden.
Camp Ripan was an absolute success.  The cabins were lovely, people at reception, the bar and restaurant could not have been more helpful.
We then transferred on 19th January to the Ice Hotel for our son’s wedding.  Again the transition was brilliant, the cab was on time and we got to the Ice Hotel at the allotted time.
The day and wedding itself in the Ice Hotel was truly magical, one we shall never forget.
The transfer from plane to plane at Stockholm was also very smooth and the transfer was on time too.Thank you for arranging it all so perfectly.  A weekend which we will never forget.
Mary visited Lapland with her family

Would just like to say what a fabulous holiday we have had at the Aurora Retreat and Ice Hotel. Mikael and his staff [Aurora Retreat] all made the holiday one that we will remember for a very long time.
Mikael works very hard to ensure that all the guests are well looked after. All four of us agreed that it is the best holiday that we have had. (we have had some excellent holidays in the past) I would like to thank you for all the arrangements that you made for us and answering all my question.
Many thanks
PS Now we are going to have to find a holiday to top it. (this could be very hard)
Ellen also visited Lapland with her family

Jan 2009
We had a super holiday in the end and might well look to repeat the experience. The Hogsfjallethotel [Sälen]l had excellent facilities for a family holiday - choice of restaurants, on site equipment rental, ski shop, adventure play area with bouncy castle etc set up each afternoon, small spa, a cinema showing daily films and a live rock band every afternoon for apres ski entertainment! It seems to be the best large hotel in the area. On the negative side the rooms are adequate but not large and an armchair in our room was worn also the food is not cheap. However we are quite demanding and we loved it overall. If I compare it to a ski holiday in the alps, I would say the rooms were not as good but the overall experience including the extensive facilities and charm of the place was very compelling. It was also much less crowded both in the hotel and on the slopes even though the hotel was full and it was high season.

The Radisson [in Stockholm] was really excellent - the junior suite had a fold down double sofabed plus a separate small sofa so we could all sleep comfortably albeit in the same room. They also have a small swimming pool and gym in the basement which was offered free with our room category so that was a bonus. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Anne travelled to Sweden on a tailor made holiday, through Europe on the overnight train, spent some time in Stockholm and visited the mountains for a ski holiday

Sep 2008
I just wanted to thank you for organising such an excellent holiday. We had good weather and found loads to do- too much in Stockholm where we felt we only just touched the surface of what was on offer despite doing loads of museums and being on the go all day.
Columbus Hotel - The location was great and by using the Stockholm card on the frequent buses to the area felt we made the most of the area and Stockholm Old Town and other islands. It was a good idea to have the larger room and would certainly recommend the hotel to others.
Grythyttan - This was a MAGIC last choice. The staff were attentive, the food was fantastic and our room charming. Whilst the area was very quiet we biked , walked and Andy played Golf twice at a local course at which he was  warmly welcomed. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
On the way back we did stop at Sigtuna and it was charming and made a transfer day seem part of the overall holiday.
General - We found It easy to get around and find our way. People very attentive and kind. We could not have got anymore out of our Stockholm Card  it was good value and so easy to use. We went for the Smorgasbaord at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm - expensive but worth it. Will consider another holiday in Sweden- though probably another time would also consider a stay on a Stockholm archipelago island and going earlier in the season as somethings we wanted to do had already closed for the season. Once again many thanks- hope comments are helpful - we both felt we had had a restful, insightful and interesting holiday. It seemed as  though we had been away several days more than we booked

Aug 2008
The Elite hotel (Gothenburg) there was really excellent, and the Nordic Sea in Stockholm almost as good. Handy for the train to the airport though!  The Gothenburg and Stockholm passes were excellent. Gothenburg was our favourite place, especially Liseberg park and the science museum next door, and the Vasa museum in Stockholm. Thanks for all your help. We would certainly recommend you (we already have)!
Craig visited Stockholm and Gothenburg with his family including 2 teenagers

We enjoyed the holiday, and were glad to be supporting the Inlandsbanen enterprise. Stockholm and the Columbus Hotel were excellent, and we saw as much as we could. The Laponia (hotel) in Arvidsjaur is superb - very new and bright and with balconies and views. We liked Sweden and would be happy to go again maybe to Malmo.

Just wanted to thank you for all your patience and hard work organising out trip - we had a WONDERFUL time.  I was a little worried that we had such high expectations of the holiday that we might be disappointed - but we weren't.
It really was perfect, all your tips and instruction were spot on.  Everyone at the Ice Hotel was so friendly, it was all really well run and relaxed.  We asked for a particular Ice Suite after we had looked round - and it turned out that it was the one allocated to us anyway! I actually slept better in the cold accommodation than I did in the warm.  All the food was lovely, and the activities were all excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Skiing, it was so peaceful and the scenery was like being in a Christmas card - and it helped that I didn't fall down at all!  it is definitely a holiday we will never forget. We loved Stockholm, and will go back sometime to do some of he museums etc.

I will be recommending Simply Sweden to everyone (- whether they want to hear about it or not!). Thanks again, it has been a real pleasure arranging this holiday with you.

We are back from our holiday in Sweden which was absolutely fantastic. The accommodation, food, tours and environment was all we could have wished for and more. Thank you for your assistance in sorting out the holiday and we would be grateful if you could let us know in advance of any "unusual trips" that may be taking place in Sweden. We didn't want to come home!
